Film Montreux was founded in 2020 in Montreux, in the Suisse Romande, the french speaking part of Swizerland, by the award winner director Nino Ilacqua. The company was born out of a desire to contribute to the development of independent auteur cinema, away from the stereotypical conventions of commercial cinema of low artistic quality. Moreover, film Montreux encourages new talents in the local community, giving opportunities of working and learning the art of Cinema in all its components. No film is real, yet a well done film let us grasp the reality.

The short meterage Carlo et Charles was produced in 2023, featuring famous swiss actors such as Gil Pidoux and Luca Colucci.
It’s a story about immigration, one of the biggest problems of our time, which here is seen in a totally unconventional way. Although it is always very easy with this theme to get likes and awards, this film stays far away from the obvious stereotypes. And yet it got many awards in important international festival, axccredited in IMDb, included Best Script, Best Director and Best Film.
A poor young man who arrives in Switzerland with nothing else than his courage, youth, determination. After many years he is a rich old man and meets by chance a young man that is now like he was then. As the two are waiting for the same train, generational clash is inevitable, fueled by the prejudices of both. The rich one has a Ferrari and a precious golden clock in his bag and he is scared to be rubbed. The young has only one apple. Furthermore, one is fat, the other in perfect shape, one is wealthy the other is healthy.
Shot in the splendid surroundings of Lake Geneva in Suisse Romande, Switzerland, the film shows wonderful vistas. Finally, at the very end of the film, an unexpected twist of the story makes one thinking on the meaning of life. You can watch the film for free here.
